Please refer to the relevant guide provided by your email client provider for detailed guides on how to setup your specific client software.
Your username is your email address. You need to use the same username/password for incoming and outgoing emails. Once you've done this on your device the first time, unless you change your password you usually won't need to do it again.
Use the following address details:
Inbound / Outbound Address: ellingham.email or ellingham-mail.co.uk
Inbound: IMAP, POP3 (not recommended)
Outbound: SMTP, requires authentication
Your IMAP and SMTP login details are the same and must be provided for both.
IMAP port: 143 over TLS, 993 over SSL
SMTP port: 587 over TLS (port 25 is disabled)
Ellingham Email only allows secure connections.
Software/Device Specific Notes
Windows 10 Mail
If you are using Windows 10 Mail, ensure that the Outgoing Domain Name looks like one of the following:
ellingham.email:587
Ellingham-mail.co.uk:587
You will need to ensure that Windows 10 Mail is "Sends email using a secure connection", also known as SSL or TLS, and that you use the same email/password login details for sending as receiving.
iOS Mail
In most cases, iOS mail will set itself up correctly, however there are occasions when it doesn't. The most common issue is being unable to send email.
Go to Settings > Password and Accounts > Select your email account > Select the IMAP account > Near the bottom, select SMTP > Select (or add) an SMTP server.
Ensure the domain name is "ellingham.email", your username is your email address, the password is set, "Use SSL is ticked" and the server port is 587.
